DOG TAILS v3 Party

On December 10, 2021 we had a book launch party for the dog photo coffee table book “DOG TAILS: Pawtraits of Bay Area Dogs volume 3”!

The Venue

Shanti Project hosted the party at their pet food bank’s lobby in San Francisco. The food bank is run by the PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support) program. Proceeds from the book sales went to this great organization that provides support services for pets of older adults and individuals living with disability or illness.

Party goers arrive

It was super fun to see everyone arrive, some with dogs in tow.

Books

People had pre-ordered their books, but a few extra were sold at the party.

Dog Portraits

The book is filled with photo portraits of Bay Area dogs done by one of San Francisco’s leading pet photographers, Pipi Diamond of Soulful Pet Photography. All portraits were taken in Pipi’s Boutique Backyard Studio in Castro Valley.

The Spread

There were some festive nibbles.

Enjoying the book

Everyone got to see what image of their dog made it into the book

Posing for Pictures

The photographer Pipi poses with Mechele, owner of three French Mastiffs featured in the book.

Ollie’s Portrait

Ollie is a very happy Golden Retriever. Here his proud parents show off his portrait in the book.

Signing books

Pipi personalizes the books with her signature.

See & Be Seen

French Mastiff Azariah wore her holiday apparel to the party.

Donation Made

The book project raised $3,000 for Shanti Project’s PAWS program! Here Pipi poses with Charlie Meade, Chief Development Officer & Cierra Sherman, Special Events Coordinator, both from Shanti Project.

The book project was a great success and we beat our goal of raising $2,500 for Shanti Project. You can purchase a copy of the book here: https://www.blurb.com/b/10968717-dog-tails-pawtraits-of-bay-area-dogs
