Boutique Backyard Studio

Introducing Pipi’s Boutique Backyard Studio! UPDATE: As of September 2023 we have moved into an indoor studio space in Downtown Hayward. The Boutique Backyard Studio is no longer available for sessions, but there is a park a few blocks away from our new Studio where we can do some outdoor action shots.

Doing sessions in my backyard came about partly because I moved, and my new backyard was awesome, but also because of Covid restrictions making the parks crowded.

Location

Castro Valley is just east of San Leandro and Hayward right off interstate 580 in the East Bay part of the San Francisco Bay Area.

There is plenty of street parking in my new Castro Valley neighborhood, but I also have an extra driveway, so your spot is waiting for you in front of the welcome sign.

The yard is fenced so dogs can go off-leash safely. Time is built in at the beginning of the session for dogs to explore and use the facilities.

An area under a carport is set up with a backdrop for the formal portraits and studio lighting to make you and your pup look your best.

Every detail, including a doggy water bowl, is set up so that you and your pets can feel comfortable during your portrait session so that we can get photos that reflect your dog’s personality and your pet’s relationship to you and your family.

I still do photo sessions on location if you have a specific spot you love, but this new option is great, especially for nervous dogs, since the environment is so controlled. After the session we’ll plan a time to have a slideshow of the best images in a Zoom video call.
